We are proud to announce that the MakerMobile – the first mini tech shop, laboratory, classroom, workshop, and art studio on wheels in this region – will make its first public appearance ever at ReSurfaced this Friday, September 26.
The MakerMobile is a modified 32-foot trailer equipped with a variety of maker tools including 3d printers, laser cutters, vinyl cutters, CNC, computers, and electronic stations. The traveling workshop is managed by Velocity and was made possible by TechShop, SamTec, Paul Ogle Foundation, and the BlueSky Foundation.
Like ReSurfaced, the MakerMobile is about creating something out of nothing. It’s about taking an idea and turning it into a reality.
So please join us this weekend for our Maker Faire Mixer and come make some cool stuff with the MakerMobile. We will have live music, DJs, and artists who reflect the inventive and original spirit of all things “maker.”
