The white blanked of snow that has covered our city and the Trager MicroForest for the past two weeks has finally receded.
As warmer weather approaches, final work on phase one of the Trager MicroForest Project will begin. The first new addition to the site would likely be foundations poured for decorative fin elements on the Muhammad Ali side of the central forest space, protecting the new trees on the slope. The remaining trees and shrubbery will also come in, and be planted as soon as the soil conditions all us to do so. The ground lighting along the base of the retaining wall will also be installed when the concrete warms enough. Once the all the plant material is in the circular path can be installed and catenary lights can be strung.
This work may begin within the next couple weeks, but it will be weather dependent. We will provide more updates as soon as work restarts!
