Project Update

Some good (but cold) weather has finally allowed more trees to be planted in the Trager MicroForest. Last week, Full Care planted 11 more trees across the MicroForest site. They also went ahead and started planting a substantial amount of shrubs to start developing the forest layering. Some plants were delivered to the site, but not planted, these were temporarily heeled in so they do not freeze in the open air.

While this planting was going on, we also had the soil around the existing trees air knifed. This process uses high pressure air to break up compacted soil. If soil is too compacted, it can make it difficult for water and nutrients to reach plant roots, among other issues.
