Transit agencies across the country have been struggling, particularly after the start of the COVID pandemic, and Louisville's Transit Authority of River City (TARC) is definitely on that list. With that in mind, there are big changes coming to TARC both in the short-term and long-range.

TARC 2025: Moving Forward Together is a key strategy to address existing fiscal challenges and better meet our shared priorities. It is also an important opportunity to redesign Louisville’s transit network to update and innovate service to better match the current and future needs of the Louisville region. Through this year-long initiative, TARC is working directly with the community to develop strategies for an updated transit network that will better meet the region’s needs and priorities within the reality of the funding TARC expects to receive over the next 5-10 years.

Join us, along with staff from TARC and Louisville Metro for the next Open Studio Session at the UofL Urban Design Studio at 11 am on Thursday, September 12th as we explore the upcoming changes and opportunities.

Open Studio events are free and open to the public, however seating is limited to 20 people to facilitate open and constructive dialog in a conversational setting. Due to limited seating, RSVP with Patrick Piuma via email at your earliest convenience as seats tend to fill up quickly.
