Patrick Henry | Landscape Architects, the master designers of the first ReSurfaced effort are reshaping the space with a new design to evoke the rural beauty of Kentucky's bourbon country into the urban site downtown. The new look includes 10 large live Honey Locust trees, 10 massive live European Hornbeam trees, new string lighting layout, fine gravel surface, cedar tree boxes built by Fresh Start Growers Supply, wood clad shipping containers by Longwood Antique Woods, and chandeliers.
Though we really liked the mounds, painted trees, and other unique aspects of the original ReSurfaced event last fall, we think the new design takes the space to a new level. We have made some other changes, including moving the stage in front of the facades to pair a great backdrop with the amazing lineup of musical acts we have planned this June.
