Winston is a Planner and Urban Designer with Kimley-Horn in their Midtown Atlanta Office. After receiving a Bachelors of Landscape Architecture from the University of Georgia in 2012, he worked at the Urban Design Studio while completing his Master of Urban Planning from 2013 to 2015.While at UofL and the Studio, he focused on a broad range of planning topics , with a particular interest in issues related to social equity, place-making, and transportation.
Since graduating, he has continued to focus on these topics as his career took him first to Dallas, Tx in 2015 and then back to Atlanta, GA in 2019 as a planning consultant. He works on a diverse range of projects, including city comprehensive plans and small area plans, streetscape and urban design, design guidelines, public infrastructure enhancements, and more recently transit and station area planning. Throughout his career, his work has focused on creating memorable places while addressing issues related to social equity and sustainability, and the multi-disciplinary nature of his work has allowed him to integrate this focus into a wide variety of project types.
Outside of work, Winston is an avid gardener, cook, foodie, and urbanist with a particular love for Georgia peaches and Kentucky bourbon. When he isn’t digging in the garden or exploring new corners of the city, he serves as an active member of his neighborhood community organization. Being an involved and supportive member of the local community is the foundation upon which he bases both his personal and professional life.
