Louisville Metro will be transforming three major corridors downtown and in west Louisville. 9th Street is the focal point, which will be reduced in size to fit in new pedestrian infrastructure, bike infrastructure, and green space. A specific plan has not been chosen yet, but all options include significant landscape improvements and the possibilities of linear park spaces along 9th Street. In addition to 9th Street, West Muhammad Ali and Chestnut to the west of 9th will also see streetscape improvements.
