At the former site of Maraton Bulk Storage, the city of Clarksville is in the midst of a long-term project to construct a new downtown. The new downtown will feature a completely new street grid, a wide variety of development projects, a new waterfront, and extensive greening. Clarksville’s new Main Street, constructed as part of the project, is tree-lined. New roads as part of the grid are all planned to be “complete streets” with trees running along them.
